Role Overview

Janus Soft is seeking an elite Senior Systems Engineer (Subject Matter Expert) to provide high-level technical leadership for critical satellite communications and hardware programs. In this role, you will act as a primary technical authority, guiding the end-to-end lifecycle of complex systems. You will bridge the gap between technical requirements and successful mission deployment, ensuring our hardware and software solutions meet the rigorous standards of our intelligence community partners.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

• Clearance: Must hold an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.

• Experience: 7–20 years of progressive systems engineering experience, preferably with an Electrical Engineering background.

• Domain Expertise: Extensive, demonstrated experience in SATCOM and hardware design.

• Systems Lifecycle Management: * Expert in drafting requirements, managing 3rd party vendors, and leading formal program reviews.

  • Skilled in generating comprehensive test plans, conducting hands-on technical validation, and managing system troubleshooting.

• Documentation & Process: Proven ability to navigate customer-specific formal documentation systems and approval processes for technical testing and deployment.

• Technical Breadth: Strong background in RF systems network infrastructure, communication protocols, quality standards, and manufacturing.

• Flexibility: Ability to work on both short-burst and intermediate project timelines.

• Travel: Willingness to travel domestically and overseas to support system deployment (up to 10%).

Technical Requirements

• Lifecycle Support: Support customer technical staff to broaden capabilities through third-party contracts and internal partnerships.

• Documentation: Draft and manage the contracting process through SSJ, SOW, and requirement documentation.

• Integration: Foster communication between partners to ensure high-quality, on-time, and on-budget delivery.

• Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the technical SME on designated topics, leading technical efforts in the operation and maintenance (O&M) of deployed systems.

• Field Execution: Secure necessary approvals and conduct field tests for systems under development.

• Stakeholder Management: Coordinate user requirements sessions and serve as a technical authority during the deployment approval process.
