Job Description Janus Soft is seeking an elite AWS Cloud Engineer & Server Administrator in McLean, VA to lead the deployment, administration, and continuous optimization of critical cloud and enterprise server environments. In this role, you will manage multi-system architectures within Commercial Cloud Enterprise (C2E), diagnose complex operational issues across AWS services, and support enterprise IT utilities and security applications. You will collaborate directly with system developers, sponsor components, and cross-functional teams to integrate requirements, enforce security constraints, and anticipate networking impacts on core operating systems in direct support of mission-critical national security initiatives.

Mandatory Skills

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.

• Cloud Infrastructure: Demonstrated experience provisioning, managing, and troubleshooting server workloads within Commercial Cloud Enterprise (C2E) and AWS environments.

• Multi-Platform Systems Administration: Proven expertise administering diverse operating environments including Linux, UNIX, Windows, and MVS, alongside enterprise IT (EIT) utility and security tools.

• Network & Systems Operations: Strong understanding of network requirements, storage technologies, database platforms, and hardware support to anticipate operational impacts on host operating systems.

• Requirements & Stakeholder Coordination: Demonstrated success collaborating with system developers and sponsor stakeholders to elicit requirements, manage joint project plans, and align with enterprise operating configurations and security standards.

• Technical Communication & Planning: Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven ability to articulate complex technical issues to diverse audiences and resolve high-level system problems independently or in a team environment.

Desired Skills

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related STEM field.

• Experience engaging directly with internal business partners to translate operational needs into technical requirements.

• Proactive background researching emerging operating system and cloud technological advancements to anticipate organizational impact and plan future upgrades.
